I am licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I have a Master of Arts degree (M.A.) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University. My graduate coursework included traditional counseling and psychotherapy, as well as training in the use of art, guided imagery, relaxation and breathing techniques as tools to help clients express themselves in ways that work best for each individual client. I have post-graduate training and education in psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, new paradigms of grief, complicated grief, young adults and loss, adolescents and loss, loss through violence, therapeutic writing, and group therapy. I received Deep River Facilitator training from Abby Seixas.
I have worked in out-patient mental health centers, partial hospitalization programs, and a college counseling center, providing individual and group counseling to people struggling with many different challenges and
navigating many different types of transitions. I also have attended law school and worked in the legal field for many years, so I am in a unique position to understand the challenges faced by law students and lawyers. I am a member of Massachusetts Mental Health Counselors Association and Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy.
