GRIEF/BEREAVEMENT GROUP
This is a group for people who have lost someone important in their lives and would like the support of others going through similar challenges. Bereavement has many facets--conflicting feelings; a need to, and sometimes a fear of, expressing and understanding one's feelings; honoring the deceased person; living one's day-to-day life; and wondering what one's future will be like.
The group will meet for twelve Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. The start date will be in late September or early October. The meeting location is 279 Massachusetts Avenue, East Arlington, MA. The cost is $480 (can be paid in 2 or 3 installments). Some health insurance plans might cover a portion of the cost.
FINDING BALANCE AND MEANING IN YOUR WORK AND YOUR LIFE
Do your personal relationships take a backseat to obligations of your job?
Do you want to find or recover balance and meaning in your work or in your life?
Practicing law requires time, effort and dedication. It is easy to lose track of your self and your life. Some of the challenges lawyers may face are the need to suppress emotions, involvement in relationships imbued with conflict, pressure to perform coupled with unrealistic self-expectations, and repeated exposure to the crisis and tragedy of others. These behaviors tend to contribute to depression, isolation, stress and anxiety.
Maxine Sushelsky, LMHC will be leading the group. Maxine is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a lawyer.
WOMEN'S GROUP
This is a group for women in their 40's, 50's and 60's who would like to meet with others to share concerns related to relationship with self, relationships with others, work, play, and dreams.
The group will meet in Arlington, MA.
